In December 2024, we featured on the Inside the Road podcast on Spotify, where our co-founder Armina Rosenberg discussed Minotaur Capital's approach to global equities investment management. We're an Australian-based global equities long/short fund that leverages proprietary AI technology to enhance equity research and portfolio management.
Our fund, which launched in May 2024, utilises Torian, our custom-built AI system that processes 35,000 articles weekly from global financial publications. This technology enables us to identify investment opportunities across 60,000 listed companies worldwide, focusing on businesses undergoing fundamental strategy changes that may be misunderstood by the market. As Armina explained:
"AI will be what Excel is now to funds management in the world of finance, so like basically an indispensable tool."
Our differentiated portfolio includes positions across multiple countries and sectors, from Italian subsea cable operators to Japanese pharmaceutical companies and Polish game developers. Since inception, we've delivered approximately 13% returns, equivalent to an annualised IRR of 26%. We combine traditional investment expertise with cutting-edge technology to deliver our investment strategy. Both Armina and co-founder Thomas Rice have invested their entire liquid wealth in the fund, demonstrating our strong alignment with investors. To read the article, click the link below.
